Marco Kirschbaum
Founder/Co-Director
Humanitarian professional consulting on the implementation of the HDP nexus approach. Recent two-year assignment in South Sudan as the UN’s Triple nexus adviser. Currently developing a participatory model for analyzing the sustainability of programmes and projects in complex emergencies.
Extensive experience with multiple organisations at field and headquarters in Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East and Americas, focused on Humanitarian dialogue facilitation; Humanitarian action (protection, assistance, IHL, negotiations); Organizational development, capacity building and change management; and Win-win negotiations, and partnership initiatives. He has worked in South Sudan, Ukraine, Israel, Djibouti, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Switzerland. He speaks German, French, English and basic Chinese.

Pamela F. Husain
Founder/Co-Director
Experienced (40+ years) international senior professional specializing in promoting gender equality, disability inclusion, and HDP nexus in conflict/post-conflict programming with the UN and NGOs. Skilled in coordination and facilitation of inter-agency initiatives; strengthening national and international stakeholder relations; strategic planning, and; national staff empowerment and team building. Experience in policy analysis, organisational change management, and resource mobilisation and partnerships.
Worked in Iraq, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Niger, Rwanda, Bangladesh, Lao PDR, and UN regional offices in MENA and East and West Africa. Fluent English; basic French. She has her Master's in Management of International Organizations from SDA Bocconi, Master’s studies in International Administration and Cross-Cultural Training from The School for International Training, as well as training in coaching, foresight, IHL, and leadership skills.

David Lefor
Founder/Co-Director
David is an international development researcher, practitioner, and technical expert with over a decade of experience across research, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and programme management. His thematic expertise includes education, adolescent participation, migration and displacement, social protection, gender, and child rights. He is currently pursuing a PhD on educational and skills development among conflict-displaced youth in Thailand. His global portfolio of work demonstrates success delivering high-quality, participatory, and policy-relevant research for UNICEF, Plan International, RUSI, ILO, and others. He is a Co-Founder and Co-Director of C4NS, where he focuses particularly on Applied Research. He speaks fluent English and has basic proficiency in French, German, and Thai.
